Enhance the sermon-viewing experience with a persistent video player that stays visible as users scroll through the sermon page. This feature ensures uninterrupted playback by seamlessly transitioning the video to a smaller floating position when it scrolls out of view. The player remains within the content area, avoids overlapping critical elements like the footer, and smoothly returns to its original position when scrolled back into view. Ideal for keeping your audience engaged with your message while they explore additional content or resources on the page.

With the release of Advanced Sermons 3.0 right around the corner, we're proud to introduce a ton of new features and improvements to Advanced Sermons. One of these improvements is a new import functionality for Sermon Manager. This will allow users to import their existing sermons with a few clicks. Part of this improvement, we are also including a build in export functionality incase users ever need to migrate their data.

It would be useful to be able to order the books in the filter dropdown in either a drag and drop format or manual order of choice, as the books of the Bible is not necessarily in alphabetical order.

Would be awesome to flag a series as complete in the back-end with the result that in the front-end the series would display all the sermons from old to new for easier playback.

It would be really helpful to enable a parent filter label under "Books" and allow the books of the Bible to be grouped under Old and New Testament respectively. It will enable more accurate filtering. I would really love to see this come to life.

We're introducing a new feature that gives users more control to choose which information they wish to display on the grid and list view layouts on the archive template. This can help simplify the sermon archive page to display only the information you want.

We just completed the update to the Vimeo functionality to include the ability to add a playback start time to videos using the new ?t= parameter. How to use start time: By adding ?t=2m30s to the URL, after the /video ID/, the playback will automatically start at two minutes and thirty seconds.

To make sure Advanced Sermons is compatible with all church requirements we have created two addons for Advanced Sermons that extends its ability by creating a custom taxonomy for Campuses and Service Types. If anyone has other taxonomy requests, please let us know and we will be more than happy to create some additional addons for the community.

With the release of Advanced Sermons 3.0 right around the corner, we're proud to introduce a ton of new features and improvements to Advanced Sermons. One of these improvements is with the language settings of Advanced Sermons. We have expanded greatly on this functionality to include all aspects of the plugin to be translatable directly from our Language settings page to eliminate the need of 3rd party plugins like Loco Translate. The plugin will still support 3rd party plugins like Loco Translate if you wish to continue to use them.

Other video platforms are growing, we plan to switch to Rumble and would greatly benefit from customization options for the video embed. A simple if not function exists for the video template would enable it to be overridden to support custom platforms.
